Prager Metis Making Big Strides in Walk to End Alzheimer's
National Walk Team raises more than $550,000 to help propel the Alzheimer's Association's mission forward.
The Alzheimer's Association Greater New Jersey Chapter (AAGNJ) is spotlighting our corporate partners who are making a difference in the fight to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia, by supporting the Walk To End Alzheimer’s (WTEA) - the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Today we say thank you to Prager Metis, participants in the Monmouth-Ocean and Bergen-Passaic WTEA since 2016, and a Gold Level National Walk Team beginning in 2018. Prager Metis is a top international accounting and advisory firm, with over 100 partners and principals, more than 400 team members, and 24 offices worldwide. They provide clients expert advice that protects and grows the value of their world—whether that world is local or extends across international markets. Prager Metis’ extraordinary passion and dedication to helping all those affected by the disease has inspired and motivated others to get involved. Since becoming a National Walk Team, Prager Metis has raised more than $550,000!
"Prager Metis plays an integral role in the success of New Jersey’s Walks to End Alzheimer’s. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Prager Metis has raised more than $90,000 since 2019 on behalf of the Greater New Jersey Chapter. We are grateful for their support of all those affected by Alzheimer's and dementia both here in New Jersey and around the United States", said Cheryl Ricci-Francione, Executive Director, AAGNJ.

Casey Snyder, Director of Development, AAGNJ added, “The funds raised by their efforts, and others, helps propel the Association’s mission forward - accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
In addition to participating at many Walk to End Alzheimer’s events, Prager Metis employees host a variety of creative fundraising activities to support their efforts on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association. They include Swirl, Sip and Support – a virtual wine tasting and visit to Napa Valley with a guided flight of small production wines alongside three perfectly paired handcrafted food products. In NYC, a Prager Metis Pop-Up Shop opened where sales of special occasion gowns for prom, graduations, and wedding season, donated by designer Jovani, raised more than $10,000 for the cause. Additional fundraising events included a Pot Luck Luncheon in the Hackensack office, and an International Feast Luncheon in the NYC office, where team members had the opportunity to share their families’ signature dishes and sample coworker recipes. They also held an Art and Gift Auction where guests bid on an amazing array of art, gift baskets and experiences. The Prager Metis Charitable Foundation implemented a Photo Contest, a virtual Dance Showcase, and finally, the Swing for a Cure Golf Outing.
