Bergen Co. Man Sentenced To 3 Years For Distributing Kiddie Porn
Louis Cedeno, 50, will have to register as a sex offender under Megan's Law once released from state prison.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A county man was sentenced to three years in state prison for distributing child pornography on the internet, state Attorney General Christopher Porrino announced Monday.
Louis Cedeno, 50, of Palisades Park, pleaded guilty last year to second-degree distribution of child pornography. He was arrested in 2013 as a result of Operation Ever Vigilant, a joint child pornography sweep conducted by state and federal agencies, including the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the state Division of Criminal Justice.
Cedeno was targeted during Operation Ever Vigilant after a State Police detective downloaded two videos of child pornography from a shared folder on Cedeno's computer while monitoring a file-sharing network popular with sex offenders, Porrino said. The computer's location was traced to Cedeno's residence.

Authorities recovered about 60 images and videos of child pornography from Cedeno's computer, Porrino said.
A forensic examination revealed evidence that Cedeno used the file-sharing software to make child pronography available for distribution.

“The ability of individuals like Cedeno to readily acquire and distribute numerous files of child pornography is a troubling consequence of the internet,” said Director Elie Honig of the Division of Criminal Justice. “We’re doing everything in our power to disrupt this online market by infiltrating it and aggressively prosecuting these offenders.”
Cedeno was charged in 2013, before Governor Christie signed New Jersey's tough new child pornography law. The law substantially enhanced the penalties for people who possess, distribute and create child porngraphy.
