Proceeds donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Seeing football players all wearing shades of pink while on the field is definitely not what you'd expect, but at a "Powder puff Football" game, it makes perfect sense.
The HEAL organization at sponsored the 6th annual Powder Puff Football game where all the players are girls, and members of the football team help coach and cheer during the game. This year's charity is the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, which works to eradicate breast cancer.
HEAL stands for Helping Each other Achieve Longevity and is a female mentorship program for middle and high school aged girls. Many local vendors donated food which was sold during the game and also helped to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
