Summit Medical Group Adds Endocrinology Specialist In Teaneck

TEANECK, NJ — Expanding its multi-specialty presence in Bergen County, Summit Medical Group (SMG) has announced the addition of endocrinologist Deeksha Mehta, MD.

Mehta will operate out of the group's Teaneck office, located at 870 Palisades Avenue, Suite 203.

Mehta diagnoses and treats a wide variety of conditions, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, thyroid cancer, obesity, osteoporosis, calcium disorders, hormonal disturbances such as PCOS, pituitary and adrenal diseases.

A graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY, Mehta also completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in New York, at NYU Langone Medical Center.

Her research accomplishments and published works are many, according to a news release, and cover topics including thyroid nodule management, Plasmapheresis in resistant Graves disease, central regulation of glucose production, and complications of long-term bisphosphonate therapy for osteoporosis.
