Teacher's Assistant Charged With Distributing Drugs In Teaneck

TEANECK, NJ — A teacher's assistant at a Bergen County special services school was arrested Monday for distributing marijuana in the township, and near a high school, authorities announced.
Walter A. Farrior Jr., 26, was charged after an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Teaneck Police Department. Farrior works at New Bridges Middle School in Paramus.
The prosecutor's office received information that Farrior was distributing controlled dangerous substances in Teaneck, said Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal. Police arrested Farrior Monday for distributing marijuana to an undercover detective, he said.

Farrior was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana, in a quantity less than 1 ounce and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana within 1,000 feet of Bogota High School, Grewal said.
Farrior was released on his own recognizance pending a first appearance in Bergen County Judicial Processing Court May 24, Grewal said.
