Teaneck Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Englewood Shootings
Jamal 'Mally' Robinson allegedly shot someone in the leg during an armed robbery, authorities said, and another man in the arm.

TEANECK, N.J. — A township man was charged Monday with attempted murder in relation to two shootings that occurred in Englewood earlier this month, authorities said.
Jamal "Mally" Robinson, shot a man in the arm July 7 and another man in his leg two days earlier after breaking into a Howland Avenue home, said Gurbir S. Grewal, Bergen County's acting prosecutor.
A man was shot in the leg as he exited a Howland Avenue residence in Englewood just before 4 a.m. July 5, authorities said. The man reported he was house-sitting for a friend.

The suspect, later identified as Robinson, allegedly armed with a handgun and wearing a ski mask, approached the man and told him to "hand it over," Grewal said. The man reportedly told Robinson that he did not have any money and turned his back to him, who then shot him in the lower leg, Grewal said.
The victim's car keys, $120, and his cell phone were stolen from him, authorities said.

One bullet and a shell casing were found at the scene; authorities identified Robinson as a suspect in that shooting, the prosecutor said.
A man who was shot in the arm was dropped off at the Englewood Police Department shortly after 11:45 p.m. July 7, the prosecutor said. Police found a blood trail in the backyard of 105 Orange Street where five shell casings were recovered, authorities said.
Five shell casings were found at the property and Robinson was identified as a suspect in that shooting as well, the prosecutor said.
Robinson, 45, was charged with two counts each of attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon and armed robbery, Grewal said.
Bergen County Superior Court Judge Edward A. Jerejian set Robinson's bail at $1 million with no 10 percent option and no contact with the victims, authorities said. Robinson was remanded to the Bergen County Jail.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and Teaneck and Englewood police departments investigated the shootings.
