Teaneck Raises Pride Flag

The month of June is Pride Month, and to honor that, Teaneck has announced they will raise a Pride Flag on Sunday, May 31.

TEANECK, NJ — Teaneck will honor Pride Month by raising the Pride Flag on Sunday, May 31, according to a news release from the town.

The flag raising, scheduled for 1 p.m., will take place in Votee Park, as the flagpole there will fly the flag for the month of June.

The raising will be recorded and posted to the town website, and to social media, according to the release. Members of the township council and pride awareness advisory board will be in attendance.

State regulations allow for congregations of up to 25 people, but the news release reminds residents that social distancing guidelines will be enforced.
