Teaneck Township Seeks Volunteers to Fill Advisory Board Vacancies

Applications are currently being accepted through the Township of Teaneck's Advisory Board application webpage.

TEANECK, NJ — The Township of Teaneck is seeking residents interested in serving on a variety of municipal advisory boards and committees, with multiple vacancies currently available.

The Township Council is encouraging community members to submit an application to help fill openings on several boards that advise local officials on parks, recreation, planning, public health, environmental initiatives, and community programs.

  • Fields Advisory Board: Representatives for junior basketball, junior soccer, TOPSoccer, and wrestling.
  • Hackensack River Greenway Advisory Board: One vacancy.
  • Municipal Open Space Trust Fund Advisory Board: One vacancy for a Parks, Playgrounds and Recreation Advisory Board (PPRAB) representative.
  • Parks, Playgrounds and Recreation Advisory Board: One vacancy.
  • Patriotic Observance Advisory Board: One vacancy.
  • Pride Advisory Board: Residents interested in serving are encouraged to apply.
  • Site Plan Review Advisory Board: Four vacancies for regular qualified members.
  • Social Services Advisory Board: One vacancy.
  • Teaneck Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse: Two vacancies.

Officials say residents are welcome to apply for any board that matches their interests and experience. Serving on an advisory board offers community members an opportunity to contribute to local decision-making and help shape Township programs and initiatives.
