Teaneck Will 'Make Some Noise' For 2020 Graduates
The Township is asking all residents to break out the pots and pans or put their hands together for a clap-out honoring local graduates.
TEANECK, NJ — Though it isn't the clapping most graduates envision when they think about graduation day, the class of 2020 will still get to hear the familiar sound as they wrap up their high school careers.
With coronavirus altering or outright cancelling graduations, officials in Teaneck are recruiting the community to help commemorate the accomplishments of the class of 2020 with a clap-out.
"All Teaneck students graduating this year, from the youngest nursery school students to those in high school, college and beyond looked forward to celebrating their hard-earned accomplishments with a graduation in 2020," said Elie Y. Katz, in his Tid-Bits newsletter.
