Teaneck Woman, Struck By Tractor Trailer, Dies: State Police

State Police pronounced the 21-year-old Teaneck woman dead at the scene after she was struck by a tractor trailer on the NJ Turnpike.

FORT LEE — A Teaneck woman died after being struck by a tractor trailer Wednesday on the New Jersey Turnpike in Fort Lee.

New Jersey State Police officials say Jada Smith, 21, of Teaneck, was traveling southbound when she was involved in a crash, and her vehicle became disabled. Smith then exited her vehicle, and was struck by the tractor trailer.

Troopers responded at 10:25 p.m. to the accident, where they pronounced Smith dead at the scene.

A cause of death has not been officially announced, and there is no additional information regarding the driver of the tractor trailer.
