Teaneck's Holy Name Offering 3rd COVID Vaccine Dose
The third dose booster of the Pfizer vaccine is now available at Holy Name's four vaccination locations for the immunocompromised.
TEANECK, NJ — Holy Name Health will offer a third dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for the immunocompromised, and is in the process of getting Moderna vaccines, the hospital announced.
The Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved the third dose of both vaccines for certain immunocompromised people, specifically, solid organ transplant recipients or those who are diagnosed with conditions that are considered to be an equivalent level of immunocompromised.
Additional doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or a dose of Moderna of Pfizer after receiving the J&J vaccine have not been approved, Holy Name said.

Appointments are required at all Holy Name locations for the third dose, and it must be at least 28 days since the second dose to receive a third.
