Vaccinations to the public will commence on Monday, January 18, 2021 and will be given to those individuals who qualify under Phase 1A. They include Healthcare Personnel, Long Term Care Residents and Staff, First Responders, anyone 65 years of age or older, and people between the ages of 16 - 64 with medical conditions that increase the risk of severe illness from COVID-19. Conditions include Cancer, Chronic Kidney Disease, COPD, Down Syndrome, Heart Conditions, Obesity, Sickle Cell, and Type 2 Diabetes.
A link to register will be forthcoming on Thursday or Friday of this week. It will be immediately disseminated when it is received from Holy Name Medical Center. If you qualify under Phase 1A, this will be your opportunity to register for an appointment. At this time, no walk-ins will be allowed. When the registration link becomes available, it will only list appointment dates based on vaccine availability.

As the Township Manager, I understand there will be many questions related to the vaccination process. Please refer to the Township’s website which contains a list of “Frequently Asked Questions,” as well as other important links that should address all questions and concerns.
To assist our residents who may need help with registering under Phase 1A, a hotline number has been established. It will be staffed during normal operating hours beginning January 18th. The number to call is 201-837-4840. Again, this number is for Teaneck residents who need assistance with completing online Phase 1A registration for the vaccination due to special needs. At the onset, I anticipate a high volume of calls for assistance. Please be patient.
Residents can also send questions to Vaccine@teanecknj.gov. They will be answered as quickly as possible.
I encourage all Teaneck residents to be good neighbors. Please share this information with our special needs residents, and to those individuals who may not have access to a computer for registration purposes.
