Upper Main Alliance hosts Destination Hackensack

This event is a mainstay in the Bergen County business community. Coming on the exciting heels several real estate development projects getting underway to revitalize the city’s downtown district, this year the focus was on the burgeoning renaissance that Hackensack is experiencing through arts, increased business and real estate development. Hundreds of attendees gathered under the picturesque tent listening to contemporary jazz and networking together to spur local economy
Members of the City Council and representatives from various city departments were in attendance, there was a visual arts show by the Hackensack Arts Club, tastings from various restaurants representing Hackensack’s diverse culinary culture and information tables hosted by Hackensack businesses and non-profits.

The Upper Main Alliance presented their first Community Builder Award to Some’s Uniforms a longtime retail establishment on Main Street. The late Jerry Some was a staple in the Hackensack business and philanthropic communities. His son, Jason Some and wife, Diane Some accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Several local restaurants and business sponsored the event.
