WFDU-FM to Broadcast Exclusive Davy Jones Interview

WFDU-FM radio personality Lise Avery sat down with the late star in 2006. Her full interview will be broadcast unedited today.

’s WFDU-FM will re-broadcast its exclusive interview with the late Davy Jones of The Monkees today starting at 10 a.m., the radio station announced.

WFDU-FM radio personality Lise Avery interviewed Jones in her recording studio in New York in 2006. Avery's show ‘Anything Goes!!’ will broadcast the interview in full on 89.1FM at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Listeners can also tune in online at www.wfdu.fm.

“I am going to air all of things that he said. He and I cracking up and making jokes, all the things that don’t make it to air and end up on the cutting room floor. That’s the kind of thing the audience will enjoy that they didn’t get to hear the first time around,” Avery said in a news release.

Jones died last month after suffering a heart attack in Indiantown, Fla, ABCNews.com reported. He was 66.
