2 Toms River Women Among Honorees At Junior League Luncheon

The women are being honored for volunteer work with The Peoples Pantry and Toms River Field of Dreams.

Two Toms River organizations will be among those with volunteers honored Nov. 3 when the Junior League of Monmouth County recognizes the charitable work by 21 women at its 2017 Women Making a Difference Community Volunteer Award Luncheon.

Dorothea Bongiovi will present the award and help recognize all honorees and their organizations at the event, which will be held at the Shadowbrook Estate in Shrewsbury.

The award recipient’s organization will receive a $1,000 grant from the Junior League of Monmouth Countyin honor of her contributions to the community. The honorees are as follows:

The mission of the Junior League of Monmouth County is to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of woman and improve communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
