It's the Fourth of July. If you're not sure when your town is holding fireworks or their Independence Day celebrations, or if you're curious to see what other towns are doing, take a look.

Some towns' celebrations are more than just a fireworks display, so if you're craving a patriotic festival where you can deck out in red, white and blue, there are plenty of ways to fulfill that desire.

Annual fireworks go off at dusk and are a spectacular display seen from the Beachwood Beach along the Toms River, food available! The display is visible from several spots along the Toms River as well.

Freehold
Independence Day Celebration
Borough Hall, 51 W. Main St.
Beginning at 9 a.m. residents will join in the annual reading of the Declaration of Independence. The fire bell will then be struck 50 times to commemorate each state, the flag will be raised, and the pledge of allegiance will be recited. Residents who would like to read a portion of the Declaration are asked to arrive at 8:30 a.m. and will be provided with a copy of the document.

Ocean Township (Waretown) — CANCELED
Independence Day Celebration
Waretown Lake and Recreation Park, 182 Wells Mills Road
(Updated, June 23 at 5 p.m.) The town announced the program is canceled, with no rain date, due to predicted heavy rain for Saturday morning.

Rumson
Family Fireworks on the Navesink
The fireworks are part of benefit for the Riverview Medical Center Foundation held at a private home in Rumson but are visible from the Oceanic Bridge and from Victory Park in Rumson. The fireworks are scheduled to go off about 9:15 p.m.

Celebrate America! with the Garden State Philharmonic
Ocean County Library, Washington Street, Toms River
Concert begins at 7 p.m. Celebrate Independence Day with the Garden State Philharmonic Orchestra and the GSP Community Chorus. Since the 1960s, this annual concert has elevated July 4th festivities with music. Bring your own chair and sit anywhere for this outdoor concert. Part of the Ocean County Parks & Recreation's Carousel of Music Series.
