Beachwood Community Day Includes Donation Drive For K9 Keto

Beachwood EMS is collecting items for the K9 Keto, whose handler, Russell Okinsky, lost everything in a house fire last weekend.

BEACHWOOD, NJ -- The 3rd annual Beachwood Community Day will be held Saturday and will include a donation drive for K9 Keto, whose handler, Pine Beach Patrolman Russell Okinsky, lost his home to a fire last weekend.

The Beachwood EMS is seeking collections of dog toys, dog food and other items for Keto, who was rescued from last Saturday's house fire and is recovering from smoke inhalation. Okinsky's other dog, Lola, died after she was rescued from the fire.

Beachwood EMS is seeking donations of toys, treats, a dog bed, a cage and the Royal Canin German Shepherd food.

The community day event is being held at Birch and Surf Park from noon to 4 p.m.
