Bishop Consecrating Catholic Church

Good Shepherd American National Catholic Church's Growing Congregation

On 10 AM Sunday, April 17, 2016 Bishop George Lucey, FCM will be coming to Toms River's Good Shepherd American National Catholic Church to consecrate the building. Led by it's Pastor-Father Anthony Lipari, a Franciscan Friar of the Community of Mercy, this Catholic Church has been growing by leaps and bounds. The Church is located on the corner of Whitesville Road and Riverwood Drive.

The Ceremony includes using the Oil of Chrism with which the Bishop will bless the altar and walls marking it as a holy place for Catholics to worship. The Bishop visited Good Shepherd during the recent Holy Week to celebrate The American National Catholic Church's Chrism Mass, as well.

Father Anthony, together with priest associate-Father Miguel Fernandez, have been serving this local church that is growing weekly. "People are coming to our all-inclusive, non-judgmental, and vibrant church because of it's welcoming, open spirit," Father Anthony comments. "It's a happy, Catholic Church!"
