With prices of Broadway shows climbing past $200, Itake a look at what have in our own backyard.
Oct. 15 the talented and frequently humorous Oceanaires Chorus will celebrate their 60th Birthday with a Broadway themed concert. There will be special guest appearances by the Liberty Oak Women’s Chorus and the Fource Quartet. All for the price of $20 at the door. The Oceanaires start at 4 p.m., but there is a special program by the Ocean County Top Hats String Band starting at 3:15 p.m. The site is Toms River High School North, 1245 Old Freehold Rd. in Toms River. In addition, we have the Jay & Linda Grunin Center on the Ocean County College campus in the north, which offers a wide array of arts programming and the Surflight Theatre in the south, which is performing shows until Christmas, as well as a number of fine community groups.
