The Cancer Support Community at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Presents “Fighting Back with Your Fork”

The Cancer Support Community at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Announces April 5 Program

Good nutrition is important, especially if you are battling cancer. Both cancer and its treatments can affect the way your body tolerates certain foods and uses nutrients. The Cancer Support Community at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus presents “Fighting Back with Your Fork,” a program designed to teach people affected by cancer how to enhance their immune system with their diet. This program will take place on Wednesday, April 5 from 1 - 2:30 p.m. at the Cancer Support Community, located at 199 Prospect Street in Lakewood.

This free program, led by Linda Jensen, holistic support & nutritional educator, will discuss the importance of nutrition during every stage of the cancer journey. Attendees will learn how to create a balanced diet and maintain a healthy digestive tract by eating whole and functional foods.

The Cancer Support Community (CSC) offers supportive programs, education, and hope for individuals affected by a cancer diagnosis, no matter where treatment is received.
