Look Good, Feel Better is a national public service program Dedicated to improving self-esteem & quality of life for female cancer patients
“Look Good, Feel Better” is a national public service program for female cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Dedicated to improving self-esteem and quality of life for female cancer patients, the program – presented by the Cancer Support Community at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus – will be held on Monday, February 27 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Cancer Support Community in Lakewood.
This program helps improve the self-image and appearance of female cancer patients by providing hands-on beauty techniques to manage the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Patients will learn to cope with the side effects of treatment and feel comfortable with changes in their appearance by receiving a personal makeover by a cosmetology professional.
“Look Good, Feel Better” will take place at the Cancer Support Community, located at 199 Prospect Street in Lakewood. Registration is required by calling the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
