Christmas Tree Recycling And Curbside Pick-up In Toms River

If you are trying to figure out what to do with that tree, here are options for Toms River residents.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you just took down your Christmas tree over the weekend, or if you're holding out a little longer, Toms River officials say there are two options for residents on getting rid of them once you've removed the decorations.

The township is urging residents to recycle their Christmas trees by taking them to any one of the township's parks, where the trees are turned into wood chips:

  • Skyview Park, Vaughn Avenue
  • Riverwood Park, Riverwood Avenue
  • Silverton Park, Maine Street
  • Bayside Park, Bay Blvd., Ortley Beacb
  • Bey Lea Park, Tennis Court and Parking Lot
  • Chadwick Beach Park, Strickland Boulevard
  • Money Island Park, Longfellow Avenue
  • Winding River Park, south end off Route 37 west
  • Toms River Township Recycling Center, Church Road

Ornament and tinsel-free trees only and no plastic bags will be accepted, but officials urge you to recycle your Christmas trees to help the township save landfill tipping fees.
