Classes and Workshops at the Ocean County Artists' Guild 2018

New events at the Guild for beginners and professional artists

Continuing to be a center for the visual arts in Ocean County and New Jersey, the Ocean County Artists' Guild in Island Heights is delighted to announce new classes and workshops for 2018. Weekly classes begin in January and will feature old favorites and new specialties. Classes will include watercolor, acrylic, drawing, zentangle and classes for kids. Call the Guild at 732-270-3111 for more information. The annual workshop series begins in February with a special class in "I phone-ography" with Rich Lewis. Learn to take better and more interesting photos with your smartphone. Janet Rogers and Mel Stabin, two well-known painters will visit next bringing their exceptional talents to the shore area. Workshops in botanical drawing (Marilyn Waltzer), Colored Pencils (Rita Paradis), and Pastels with Lisa Mitchell will follow. Other artists that will be teaching at the Guild include Pat Dews, Karen Knutsen, Pat Morgan and Dorrie Rifkin. With this wide variety of talent there is something for everyone to enjoy.
