'C'mon Breathe!' Video Details Troopers' Life-Saving Crash Rescue
Two New Jersey State Troopers can be heard as they perform CPR on the man after a Garden State Parkway crash in South Toms River.

SOUTH TOMS RIVER, NJ — "C'mon, breathe!"
For several minutes on Feb. 22, getting a man breathing and his heart beating again were the only things two New Jersey State Troopers focused on following a crash on the Garden State Parkway.
Video from the dashcam and audio, shared by state police on Facebook, captures the dramatic rescue as Sgt. Karen Fahy and Trooper I Christopher Herman perform CPR on the man, whose car went down an embankment in the median near milepost 80.4 on the Parkway.

"OK, I'm going to break this one," you can hear Herman say as he breaks a window in the car so the two can administer first aid to the man.
"Sir, can you hear me?" Fahy asks, and Herman says, "Sir, can you hear us?" with Fahy adding, "What's your name" as they check on the man, who was unresponsive. As Herman calls for paramedics and runs to get the automated external defibrillator (AED), Fahy says, "I'm gonna try to get him out of the car."

"Pull. Pull. Pull. All right," she says. The car alarm goes off as they pull him out, and the car honks repeatedly almost in rhythm as Fahy counts loudly and does chest compressions.
"ONE TWO THREE FOUR," she counts, yelling the numbers and breathing hard from the exertion as Herman gives rescue breaths. At 30, she goes, "C'mon, c'mon, 30 AGAIN," then starts counting again, an even-more-determined tone as she counts, punctuated by Herman saying "Stick with us!"
"FOURTEEN. C'mon!" Fahy yells.
As she reaches 30 again, Fahy asks if the man is breathing, and repeats "23, 24, 25" through 30.' . They switch and Herman begins counting, the mic picking up a rhythmic flapping noise with each compression. "C'mon, you got this," Fahy says. "Stick with us!"
"You got this," Herman says, and Fahy adds "C'mon, you got this!" "C'mon, we got you," Herman says between numbers. As Herman finishes 30 compressions, you hear a raspy noise like a snore and another noise followed by a shout from Fahy: "C'mon, speak!" Then she starts compressions again, yelling the numbers with a determined pitch in her voice.
The shared video, which clearly was edited from the longer incident, lasts 2 minutes, 43 seconds.
New Jersey State Police said the pair continued CPR until a pulse was detected and Toms River Emergency Medical Services arrived.
The man was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he was treated and remains in stable condition, state police said.
