Code Blue In Effect In Ocean County Through Sunday

With temperatures plummeting and rain in the forecast, warming centers are being opened overnight.

With frigid temperatures moving across New Jersey for the next several days, the Ocean County Office of Emergency Management has issued a Code Blue Alert.

Code Blue opens warming centers for the homeless to take shelter from dangerous conditions. Temperatures are predicted to drop into the low teens with wind chills well below zero, according to the National Weather Service.

The Code Blue will be in effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 through 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3.

Here are the warming centers in Northern Ocean County and the times they will be accessible:
