
A series of roads throughout Ocean County are targeted for resurfacing and reconstruction, the roads department has announced.
The roads due for resurfacing and reconstruction include Birch Street in Beachwood from Shop Avenue to the Garden State Parkway and Mill Creek Road from Ocean Gate Drive to Chelsea Avenue in Berkeley.
That work is estimated at a cost of $900,000.

Four storm drains will be repaired or replaced at a cost of $525,000. Included are the Laurel Avenue outfall in Brick, the Narragansette Avenue outfall in Ocean Gate, and a Bayview Avenue culvert in Berkeley. Bids are being sought for all of the work, according to Freeholder James F. Lacey.
