Dance Studio Collecting Items For Shelter Helping Harvey-Displaced Animals

The items collected at the Toms River studio will go to the Monmouth County SPCA, organizers said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The members of a Toms River dance studio are using their "Month of Giving" to help animals that have been displaced as a result of Hurricane Harvey's impact in Texas.

From A Dancer's Pointe, located at 1311 Route 37 West, next to the Marquee Theater, is collecting towels, pet toys, bowls, blankets and dog and cat food for the Monmouth County SPCA, which has taken in a number of dogs that were in shelters in Texas. The dogs that were moved north allowed shelters in the area devastated by Hurricane Harvey to take in animals displaced by the storm, SPCA officials said.

The dance studio will take collected items to the Monmouth County SPCA weekly through the end of September.
