“We have a tremendous line-up of dancers who are excited to put on their dancing shoes and support our mission. The outpouring of support from our community is so heartwarming and will allow us to help an even greater number of elderly and their Caregivers” said Lynette Whiteman, CVCJ’s Executive Director.

About Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey:
Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) was founded in 1993 as an interfaith, nonprofit agency whose mission is to provide vital assistance to the elderly, disabled, veterans and those who care for them. Through a network of over 1000 volunteers, they enable individuals to remain independent and live their lives with dignity and joy.
CVCJ offers a number of services including medical transportation, grocery shopping, respite for caregivers living at home with a loved one with dementia or chronic illness, friendly visits, intergenerational programs and multicultural outreach. In 2009, they began their home-based visiting therapy dog program Caregiver Canines® which is now being replicated nationally.
Since the demand for their services is so great, they are always looking for people willing to offer a few hours a month to brighten someone’s life. Opportunities are varied and extremely flexible to fit into everyone’s schedule.
