TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 has partnered with Garden State Distillery for a private label vodka that will help raise money for the fire company.

"Fire on the Hill" vodka is being produced as a limited production run, the fire company said.

The distillery, which is just around the corner from the firehouse in downtown Toms River, has collaborated in the past. Earlier this summer, they collaborated with Save Barnegat Bay on a limited-production vodka titled "Norman's Shuck," 80 proof vodka flavored with oyster, seaweed and salt.

"Fire on the Hill" is "a hot and spicy blent that pays homage to our firefighters," the label notes.

"Toms River Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 is a 100 percent volunteer fire company that has been proudly serving our community since January of 1896," the fire company says on the label. "Our mission is to provide first responder services that protect life and property, while also supporting our community through fire prevention and community events."

"Our members devote countless hours of their time to training and respond to emergencies 24/7 under all conditions, often with risk to personal safety, to make sure we continue to meet that mission," the fire company said.

The vodka can be preordered for $25 per bottle by sending an email to the fire company with your name, phone number, email address and quantity of bottles to co1fireonthehill@gmail.com.

A portion of the proceeds from each sale will go to the fire company.
