I was born and raised in Toms River, and this community means everything to me. Our salon is family-owned, built on love, dedication, and the values I grew up with. I’ve been in the hair industry for over 20 years, and opening my own salon has always been a lifelong dream. I named the salon in honor of my father, who passed away last year. He was the proud dad of five daughters, and with his passing, his name would have ended with him. By giving the salon his name, I’ve created a way to keep his legacy alive and honor the strong work ethic and values he instilled in me. At our salon, we’re not just about great hair—we’re about family, community, and carrying forward a legacy of hard work and care.

My training exercises have some basic elements; I customize this framework to your dog's way of learning desired behaviors. I avoid aversive training techniques like choke or shock collars. The best deal I offer is a 5 cue (command) package for $400. Payment schedule is taylored to fit your budget, cash, personal check or Venmo. I do not accept credit cards. My own dog Thor, I rescued from hoarders with over 180 dogs kept in horrific conditions. I love my 68 lbs guy who thinks he's a lap dog. May is the month for "Mom's" at the Mathis House Tearoom. The Mother's Day Victorian Afternoon Tea is available daily from Tuesday to Sunday. Mid-week seating starts at 11 AM, and teatimes are held by reservation every hour on the hour, with the last seating at 3 PM. Weekend seating times are 11 AM and 3 PM. The Victorian Afternoon Tea includes a choice of soup, a seasonal salad, a warm scone with clotted cream, lemon curd, and preserves, a variety of five tea sandwiches, and a plate of petite desserts with a pot of gourmet tea per person. The cost is $50 (plus tax and gratuity) for adults, $20 for children 12 years old and under, and free for children 5 and under with an adult. The mid-week cost is $40 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Seniors and the military receive a 10% discount. Mathis House a Victorian Bed & Breakfast and Tea Room

Join the Mathis House for a night of delicious food and Mom's being pampered with a buffet dinner to include the following:
Roasted rosemary bone in chicken with a light brown gravy. Brown rice pilaf. Brussels Sprouts with craisins, honey, and walnuts. Mixed green salad with strawberries, blueberries, feta cheese, and a raspberry vinaigrette. A beautiful charcuterie board with meats, cheeses, nuts, crackers, and more. A dessert buffet and a tea bar buffet, coffee, and Cream Ridge. Wine selections to purchase for the evening. Warm dinner rolls with a homemade honey butter.
The evening will include live piano music by our Manager, Evan Mills, who will play old-time favorites to sing along and listen to for the evening.

The all new Cape May Renaissance Faire brings the days of yore and times of wonder to Cape May.

Hear ye, Hear ye! Prepare to step back in time as the Cape May Renaissance Faire announces its grand opening, and transforms the Cape May County 4-H Fairgrounds into a bustling festival, May 2 &amp; 3, 2026. The new event promises immersive and whimsical fun, fantasy, music, crafts, food and drink; providing a unique escape for families and the young at heart.&nbsp;

The Cape May Renaissance Faire aims to bring the rich traditions of medieval-era entertainment to the local community, blending historical flair with fantastical fun. Attendees can try their hand at archery and axe throwing, shop with various artisanal vendors, or watch the many entertaining performances on 4 stages. Patrons are encouraged to dress in clothing of the bygone area, as the mythical character they wish to be, or just come as they are.
