Evacuation At Ocean County College As National Bomb Hoax Goes On

A buiding was evacuated on the Ocean County College campus on Thursday.

A building at Ocean County College was evacuated on Thursday as a rash of bomb hoaxes were reported across the country.

Because of suspicious activity at The Grunin Center in Building #11, Ocean County College reported that it was "necessary to evacuate the building immediately."

"Do not use cellular phones," the alert said.

It's possible that this evacuation could be related to similar hoaxes that have happened nationwide and across New Jersey.

In Union County, a bomb threat was also reported at Linden High School on Thursday morning (See Related: Linden High School Cleared After 2nd Bomb Threat In 1 Week).

In Bergen County Fair Lawn Middle School in Bergen County as well. (See Related: Fair Lawn Middle School Evacuated Following Bomb Threat: Police)

Bomb threats were also made across the country Thursday, including in several cities and at universities. In Connecticut, several schools and businesses were targeted.

In Massachusetts, State Police were responding to a series of bomb threats that were sent by email to businesses.
