Fran is the former Associate Director for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Greater NJ Chapter and brings 20 years of experience in geriatric nursing, dementia care and education to CVCJ.
“My passion lies in helping individuals and their families deal with the immense challenges of cognitive decline due to dementia, and finding positive solutions for an increased quality of life. I have supported the work of CVCJ for years, so when the opportunity arose to work with the amazing volunteers of the ARCP and help expand their services, I knew this was where I was destined to be and I am very motivated and excited to get started.”
In her new role, Fran will assess families interested in participating in the respite program, provide resources when needed, and match each client with a volunteer who is trained in the latest dementia care and support. In 2017, Fran will begin to implement a new Memories Thru Music inter-generational program and expand respite services into Monmouth County and beyond.
