General Hurricane Sandy Event and Information Updates

MONDAY– Employment services provide from 1-4 pm. (Includes, but not limited to: application, resume assistance, assistance signing up with NJ OnRamp, etc.)

TUESDAY– Assistance with finding a contractor, understanding your rights and other information provided concerning construction, safety and mold from    1-4pm.

Second and Fourth Monday of every month Visitation Relief Center on Mantoloking Rd in Brick from 10am-12pm.

Sandy Wave Rider Program (10-13 year olds)- NJ Hope and Healing presents The Sandy Wave Riders Program for children, teens and their caregivers impacted by Super Storm Sandy. Events such as this affect people in many different ways; adults and children may feel upset, stressed or sad. This after school, psycho-education based intervention offers empowerment, encouragement, positivity, and ongoing resiliency building.

Group will be held from 5-7 pm for ages 10-13.

 

WEDNESDAY– A Hurricane Sandy Family Partner will be available at the County Connections located at the Ocean County Mall (near JCPenney) from 2-4 pm. We would love to hear your story, sit with you and develop a plan to get you the assistance you may need, and provide you with information and/or linkages to help meet pending needs caused by Hurricane Sandy.

 

THURSDAY– Ocean County Family Success Center will be open from 8:30-4:30, however, no Hurricane Sandy Family Partner will be available on this day.

 

FRIDAY– “Family Fun Day”-Bring the family and come watch a family-friendly movie, enjoy a snack and/or craft and receive Hurricane Sandy information, resources and assistance from 10 am-3pm.
