Habitat for Humanity hosts 3rd Annual Walk to Build
Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity invites you to help "Stomp out Poverty Housing"

NORTHERN OCEAN HABITAT HOSTING 3rd ANNUAL WALK TO BUILD FAMILY FUN WALK
LAVALLETTE, N.J. – Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity will host its third annual family fun walk, Walk to Build, on Saturday, September 8, in conjunction with Lavallette Founder’s Day. Walkers will gather at Dover Avenue on the Lavallette boardwalk for a 3 mile walk to raise awareness and funds for affordable housing efforts in northern Ocean County. The Lavallette Founder’s Day celebration will follow on Bay Boulevard and Philadelphia Avenue from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Participants can register online at nohfh.com for $20, or the day of the event for $25. Event day registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the walk beginning promptly at 10 a.m. Proceeds will benefit those in need of safe, affordable housing in northern Ocean County.

Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing ministry that brings people together to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter in northern Ocean County. To date, the Northern Ocean County affiliate has completed 18 new affordable homes, will be building two new homes this year, completed 60 Hurricane Sandy critical home repairs and over 187 home repairs. Northern Ocean Habitat also operates the ReStore, a furniture and home goods thrift store at 1214 Route 37 East in Toms River. About Lavallette Founder’s Day
Lavallette Founder’s Day is a community event, organized for the purpose of giving back to the community of Lavallette. This event is funded through the efforts of the Lavallette Founder’s Day Committee members, who solicit donations and contributions from local businesses and various other entities with the purpose of providing an event that will foster unity among the residents of the community, allowing them to celebrate themselves, each other, and the town within which they live.
