Harrogate Hosts Ocean County Senior Resources Expo for National Senior Citizens Day

In celebration of National Senior Citizens Day on August 21, Harrogate partnered with the Ocean County Office of Senior Services recently and hosted the first Ocean County Senior Resources Expo.  More than 50 Ocean County seniors and caregivers attended the event to learn about area services and speak with local experts on retirement and healthcare topics.

“There is a lot of information available about retirement and healthcare options for seniors and caregivers, which can get confusing,” states Don Johansen, Executive Director at Harrogate. “By hosting the Ocean County Office of Senior Services, we wanted to provide the community with an opportunity to meet with local professionals ask questions and receive helpful information.”

Participating business partners included Deborah Heart & Lung Foundation, Bamabus Health Programming, YMCA Senior Programming, Harrogate Home health, Captel Phone Services, Ocean County College’s Academy for Lifelong Learning, Costco, Therapeutic Massage, Ocean Ride, Wellness Initiative for Senior Education (WISE) and FBI Identity Protection.
