Hooper Avenue Students, Staff Honor Coronavirus Fight's Heroes
Nurses, truckers, police officers and a host of other front-line workers are honored in a student-and-staff video from the Toms River school
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Hooper Avenue Elementary School staff and students took time to honor the essential workers who are taking care of the community in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.
From nurses to police officers to school maintenance workers to truck drivers, all the people who are serving food or caring for the sick who have connections to Hooper Avenue Elementary are highlighted in the Hooper Heroes video.
Efforts to thank first responders, health care workers and many others have been spreading across the country and the state; on Tuesday, the Navy's Blue Angels and the Air Force's Thunderbirds flew over the area to honor health care workers who are on the front lines.
