The project may cause a drop in water pressure and temporarily cloudy water.

SOUTH TOMS RIVER, NJ — Suez crews will be flushing fire hydrants in South Toms River beginning Wednesday, the company announced.
The flushing work will be done from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and will continue through approximately March 11, weather permitting, officials said.

Crews will work from Toms River Park area east to Herflicker Boulevard/Crabbe Road and west to Cornell Road and the South Toms River area bordering Beachwood.
The flushing process removes harmless minerals that collect in the water mains and as a result, residents may notice a temporary drop in water pressure or the water may appear cloudy. While the water is safe, customers may prefer to wait until the water runs clear before drinking or washing clothes or dishes. Running the cold water from the lowest point in the house or business for several minutes typically clears the lines.
