It's Graduation Week For Toms River Schools

TOMS RIVER, NJ — It's graduation week for the Toms River school district and that means residents should be prepared for heavier traffic in the area Wednesday and Thursday.

Eighth-grade graduations for the three intermediate schools are Wednesday, June 19.

Toms River Intermediate North and Toms River Intermediate East will hold their eighth-grade graduations at the RWJ Barnabas Health Arena on the campus at Toms River High School North on Old Freehold Road.

The Intermediate North graduation is set for 3 p.m. and Intermediate East is set for 7 p.m.

Toms River Intermediate South's graduation is set for 3:30 p.m. in the gym at Intermediate South on Pinewald Road in Beachwood.

Expect to see heavier traffic in the areas of the graduations beginning about 2 p.m.

On Thursday, the three high school graduations are scheduled.

If the weather cooperates, the Toms River East graduation will be held on the football field at Toms River East, Raider Way, beginning at 3 p.m. In the event of rain, the graduation will be moved to 7 p.m. at the RWJ Barnabas Health Arena.

The Toms River North graduation will be held at 4 p.m. at the RWJ Barnabas Health Arena, Old Freehold Road.

The Toms River South graduation will be held at 3:30 p.m. on the football field at Toms River South. In the event of rain, the graduation will be moved inside to the high school gym. Expect heavier traffic in downtown Toms River as a result.
