'Jeff' Sought In Toms River Construction Vehicle Theft: NJSP
New Jersey State Police say they don't know if "Jeff" is the man pictured below or an accomplice. They just hope someone recognizes him.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — The New Jersey State Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man in connection with the theft of a truck from a construction site on Lakehurst Road on Tuesday.
The theft happened about 11 p.m. Tuesday, state police said, when the man in the photos took the truck from the construction site on Lakehurst Road prior to the on-ramp of the Garden State Parkway in Toms River. He then drove it to the Toms River Township Municipal Authorities building, located at 340 Water St., and abandoned it, police said.
The photos were taken from surveillance video inside the truck, state police said. In addition to the photos, state police said the man can be heard referring to himself as "Jeff" on audio from the surveillance footage.

"Now, we 're not sure if Jeff is the suspect, his accomplice, an alter ego or his imaginary friend. Nevertheless, we are requesting your help in finding Jeff, or anyone else who may be involved," state police said in the post on Facebook.
