Jersey Jr. Roller Derby Home Bout!

The Jersey Jr. Roller Derby (JJRD), will be hosting an exciting intra-league bout on Sunday, May 22nd, 2016 in Jackson, NJ.

Jackson — The Jersey Jr. Roller Derby (JJRD), the Shore’s first and only junior roller derby team will be hosting an exciting intra-league bout on Sunday, May 22nd, 2016, at The Jackson Skating Center in Jackson, NJ.

JJRD will bring hard-hitting, fast-paced roller derby action to the Jackson Skating Center on May 22nd when the Purple People Beaters take on the Beach Barracudas in an exciting intra-league bout. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the bout will start at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are$10 adults/$8 kids in advance, and $12 adults/$10 kids at the door. Children under 5 are free. Half Time also features a gift auction.

Jersey Jr. Roller Derby (JJRD) is a nonprofit, co-ed jr. roller derby team providing girls and boys between the ages of 8-17 the opportunity to learn and excel at flat-track roller derby in an athletic, positive, and fun environment. JJRD skaters receive training and guidance from supportive and knowledgeable veteran skaters, most whom are members of the Jersey Shore Roller Girls (jerseyshorerollergirls.net). JJRD is a proud member of JRDA (juniorrollerderby.org) and follow their testing requirements and procedures. JJRD focuses on core values including team building skills, self-confidence, discipline, and community service.
