JERSEY SHORE, NJ — Memorial Day weekend 2023 is here at last, and we know you’ve been itching to hit the beach and kick off summer.

While the temperatures won’t be middle-of-summer warm, the weekend weather is promising if you just want to relax on the sand and enjoy watching the waves or have a barbecue.

The National Weather Service has issued a warning of a moderate risk of rip currents for the weekend, which combined with water temperatures that are still below 60 degrees could quickly become life-threatening. Staying out of the water (or limiting your exposure) would be wise.
