KATEE, the Lost Lab from the Silver Ridge section of Berkeley Twp that was lost 5 Months ago was safely returned home

KATEE, the Lost Lab from the Silver Ridge section of Berkeley Twp that was lost 5 Months ago and we have been searching for ever since was trapped today by our Lost Dog Search & Rescue Group. We received a call last night from Gail, her co-owner that a great couple by the name of Jack & Marian were feeding and trying to catch an older black Lab by their home on Red Hook Bay Rd in Holiday City for the past two weeks. Jack & Marian were completely unaware of Katee until one of their neighbors told them there was a black lab lost in the area since 2/29/2016 and showed them the lost dog flyer. Immediately Jack called the number on the flyer and told Gail about the dog, Gail, who was out of state then called us and we went there with our trap this morning and had Katee in it within 2 hours. We picked up Katees other owner Jim and, Debbie, Robin, Susan, Jim and myself took Katee to the Toms River Animal Hospital where she was examined and is doing GREAT. She will be staying there over night so she can get cleaned up, get all the ticks removed and get her ear infection taken care of and will be going home in the morning. GREAT work from Susan, Robert, Robin, Debbie,Trish and the others that were out looking and the two home owners Jack & Marian for their dedication and love for animals for bringing home Katee SAFE & SOUND!

For those of you wondering how she survived in the woods for 5 Months, Katee was following a herd of Deer and eating what the residents put out, she was camped out by a stream and had all the fresh water she needed
