Looking for a Few Good Men & Women
Veterans helping Veterans is a major goal of the Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey. JWV Post 178 learned about this great agency.

Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey is an interfaith, nonprofit agency which provides rides to doctor’s appointments, food shopping, friendly phone calls and visits, relief to caregivers and in-home therapy dog visits to people over 60 years old in Ocean and Monmouth County. Congregation B’nai Israel was a founding congregation when they began in 1993.
One of their main priorities is providing their free services to Veterans and their families. Whenever possible, a volunteer Veteran is matched with a Veteran needing assistance which leads to great bonds of friendship and trust.
Thank you to the members of the Jewish War Veterans Post 178, Ocean County who welcomed Lynette Whiteman, Executive Director at a meeting on July 9, 2017. Members were extremely interested in learning about this wonderful resource and many signed up to become volunteers for this worthwhile agency.
