Looking For A Puppy? Find One At Pet Adoption Event Sunday

The Tour For Life adoption event, by North Shore Animal League, is in Toms River today.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The annual North Shore Animal League "Tour For Life" mobile pet adoption event will be at Petco in Toms River on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

Tour For Life travels throughout the United States in four “shelters on wheels” mobile pet adoption units helping shelter and rescue groups in 54 cities and towns in 32 states, over 20,000 miles generate awareness of their organizations and find homes for the adorable, adoptable animals in their care, North Shore Animal League said in a news release.

North Shore Animal League is holding the event in partnership with Puppy Love Pet Rescue, which is the sponsoring shelter for the event. Also taking part are Cane Corso Rescue, Calling All Cats Rescue, the Jersey Shore Animal Center, Chelsea's Hope Boxer Rescue, the Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters (which serves the Ocean County Animal Shelters), the NJ SPCA, and Hanlon's K9 training.

In addition, event will offer Bark Lane, NJ101.5 trafic reporter Christina Stoffo selling Etsy products, Swarovski crystal jewelry, and Purina giveaways.

Puppy Love Pet Rescue in Toms River is a nonprofit, all volunteer, foster care organization primarily serving Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex, and Union counties. They have adult dogs and cats as well as puppies and kittens.
