Meet Manhattan - A Purrfect Therapy Cat!
Manhattan, a certified therapy cat breaking new ground by joining the the "dogs club" through nonprofit Caregiver Canines

Joining the ranks of 30 certified therapy dogs, Caregiver Canines welcomed it's first feline volunteer on Friday, September 23rd. Manhattan began life as a street cat in Abu Dhabi. He was adopted by an Ocean County woman who was working there at the time. When her job ended she returned to her home in Forked River and brought Manhattan with her to experience America. On the 28 hour flight, Manhattan charmed the flight crew and delighted the passengers. After returning home, Manhattan went through therapy cat training and had to pass a test very similar to one given to dogs. Now Manhattan is available to make home visits to the elderly who love cats, but are unable to own one any longer. Manhattan's visits are totally free. To learn how Manhattan can visit you or an elderly person who would enjoy this, call Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey at 732.505.2273 or email Lynette at lynettew@caregivervolunteers.org.
