Meet Revolutionary War Hero Joshua Huddy at the Brick Library

BRICK – The Brick Branch of the Ocean County Library will host “Meet Captain Joshua Huddy: A Revolutionary War Hero” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 29. Join Dr. Jeffrey Schenker as he portrays Captain Joshua Huddy and brings history to life.

Meet Captain Huddy as he discusses his life story with an emphasis on the Toms River Battle of the Block House and how his being hanged led to an international incident involving Great Britain, France, and the United States.

Dr. Jeffrey Schenker taught history for many years at Toms River High School South and is currently an adjunct professor of history at Ocean County College. He recently served two terms as president of the Ocean County Historical Society.
