What it's about, is remembering. Remembering fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters. Remembering relatives, family, friends, neighbors. Ancestors also, as so many fought in wars 100 and 200 and more years ago. It's about teaching our children, their precious stories. It's about being a good example, honoring our departed military loved ones. While all of us should imitate their courage, the very least we can do is take time to remember their sacrifice. Whether a part of the day, or even just an hour, it's the least we can do. Jesus says there is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friends. (John 15:13)
