Missing Toms River Man May Be In New York City Area: Police

Luis Perez, 54, may have traveled to the city; he has several medical conditions and is in need of medical attention, they said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing township man who may have traveled to New York City.

Luis Perez, 54, was last seen on Tuesday, April 3, and needs immediate medical attention, said Ralph Stocco, spokesman for the Toms River Police Department.

"We would like to know information even if it seems insignificant," Stocco said. "This would include sightings at convenience stores, retail businesses, food establishments, hospitals, bus stops, etc. This information is being sought throughout New Jersey and includes Atlantic City, New York City, and Philadelphia."

Perez, who is 5-foot-9 and weighs 95 pounds, suffers from several medical conditions and lives with his parents, who are his caretakers, in the North Dover section of the township, Stocco said. He does not have his cell phone, medication, or identification with him and he was not driving, Stocco said.

He left home on April 3 and has not had contact with any family or friends since then, Stocco said.
