Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Foundation Honors Local Humanitarians at 2016 Annual Gala

Saturday, May 14 at Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale

Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Foundation’s Annual Humanitarian Gala will take place on Saturday, May 14 at Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale. This year’s Great Gatsby theme will allow guests to step back in time for an elegant evening of sequins and glamour featuring 1920’s flair, all while enjoying a night of dinner, drinks and dancing.

The Foundation will present the 2016 Humanitarian Awards to Johnny Larsen, DO, FACOEP, FACEP; Kirit Pandya, MD; and Domenick Servodio whose contributions have helped enable Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus (MMCSC) to grow and adapt to the changing health care landscape while continuing to meet the diverse needs of the community.

“We’re pleased to recognize this year’s award recipients for their extraordinary contributions to our community,” said Denice Gaffney, Vice President of Development, Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Foundation. “We commend these caring, compassionate individuals for making a difference in so many lives.”

Dr. Johnny Larsen is the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus and has served as Medical Director for Hyperbaric Medicine at the hospital since 2011. Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Larsen started his career at Kimball Medical Center in 1999 as a staff emergency physician. He has been essential in maintaining the highest patient satisfaction scores in the state for the MMCSC Emergency Department. Dr. Larsen’s staff views him as a strong support system and often times refer to him as their mentor and captain. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and is a fellow of both the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and American College of Emergency Physicians. He is also a member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.

Dr. Kiritkumar Pandya is a board-certified fellowship trained urologist who joined Kimball Medical Center in 1985. He previously served as Chief of the Urology Department at Kimball Medical Center and currently owns a private practice. Dr. Pandya is President of the Monmouth-Ocean Medical Society and is an active member of the Board of Trustees for the Medical Society of New Jersey. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Dabhoi Samaj of America and is President Elect at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus. Dr. Pandya’s mission is to provide compassionate care and successful outcomes for all of his patients and his philanthropic nature is evident in the role he played in the creation of the Tranquility Room which is a unique benefit to MMCSC staff.

Domenick Servodio, Vice President of Government Banking for the Ocean and Monmouth Markets at TD Bank, has been a member of the Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Foundation Board of Directors since 2013 and currently serves on the Executive Council as Vice-Chairman. An active member of the community, Servodio has served as President of two chambers of commerce, a college foundation board, civic organization and is the current Chairman of the Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus’ annual Golf Classic. Being very civic-minded, Servodio has never shied away from assisting the community’s many charitable organizations in any way he can.

All event proceeds benefit the Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Foundation – created to support the hospital and the programs and services it provides. The Foundation’s accomplishments are funded through contributions from individuals, corporations and other donors for state-of-the-art equipment, new programs and facility improvements. The Foundation appreciates the support of the hundreds of friends who not only raise funds for the hospital, but also serve as “ambassadors” in the community.
