No More Potholes: Main Street In Toms River Being Repaved At Last

The milling and paving will force the road to be closed Friday night; police said detours will be in place.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you've hated driving Route 166 south of Route 37 so much that you've avoided it, there's good news: Construction crews will be milling and paving that section of the road Friday night.

Toms River police issued a notice Friday that Main Street (Route 166) will be closed from Route 37 to Washington Street.

The closure will begin about 7:45 p.m. Friday and continue through 7 a.m. Saturday, police said.
